Are we getting used to a new normal.

 Hello Friends.

Today I had a interesting conversation with a church member (via zoom of course!). He was explaining to me how his business life had moved from full on days to much more active at evenings and weekends during this COVID era. Obviously this has all been online but to be honest it made me ponder the question, is this our new normal?

Now what I mean by that is things like bible studies and church meetings that we have moved online, will they remain so when we have a foot back in the real world?  It is all too nice and easy to sit on our sofas tucked up in our homes studying Gods word via a online church study group. Not so nice when we have to wrap up warm and brave the wind and rain to go to the church building. Will we find people wanting to keep to this format?  Will buildings become mostly redundant and if they do what will we use them for?  Are live Sunday services a thing of the past when you can log on to YouTube and sit in your pyjamas and enjoy being part of a online service?  You can even decide when you access the service!  No more dragging yourself out of bed on a Sunday morning and making sure the family are ready for church! You can watch it at a time that is convenient for you

Or will we be so delighted to finally be allowed the freedom to be with our brothers and sisters that things go back to how they were before COVID was even a word?  What is Gods plan for us as a nationwide church?  How shall we access church in the future? These are all the questions I’m asking myself as I sit quietly pondering life.

I am really not sure which way things will go but I know one thing, Gods word is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and so I will keep looking to him!

Thank you for dropping by
